Johnny Knoxville Opens up about His Father’s Passing in Howard Stern Interview

The one and only Johnny Knoxville opened up about 'Jackass Forever' and the moment he found out his Dad had died.

In a recent interview with Howard Stern, Knoxville talked about not feeling the urgency to work on another movie right away. 'Jackass 3.5' is now 11 years old, but even still the stuntman said here and there he would send emails to himself if he had an idea for a new movie. A decade and change later, here we are.

As we're all aware by now, 'Jackass Forever' is set to be released in theaters on February 4th of this year.

Fighting back tears however, Knoxville explained that his dad was the biggest fan of 'Jackass.' So when he got sick in 2018, Johnny decided that his father would be the first person to know about 'Jackass Forever'. Unfortunately, he never got to tell him. Philip Clapp died on October 31st, 2018. Johnny was on his way to the hospital from the airport when his father passed.

Needless to say there will definitely be some tears of joy in theaters next week, when the Jackass crew makes their triumphant return.
